We won! Farming Business of The Year at the Yorkshire Post Rural Awards.
Yummy Yorkshire is a business that was devised in response to plummeting milk prices. Over a 10-year period, we’ve worked hard to create a hugely successful ice cream parlour and 80-seater restaurant, turning our farm into a destination location.
Our Ice cream is made on the farm just metres from the milking parlour where our Friesian herd is milked twice a day, while six professional chefs are employed to work in our restaurant kitchen where they use locally sourced ingredients to serve homemade dishes. With local ethics at our heart, we’re proud to support over 30 local suppliers and businesses.
Our underused barn has been converted into a wedding venue which also provides space for markets to be staged, the next ones being our Christmas Markets commencing daily on the 24th November. We employ 30 people and annually raise more than £2,500 for nominated charity, Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
Thank you to everyone who works so hard at Yummy Yorkshire, we’re feeling very proud.
